i see your foliage and raise you a basil…
this evening on facebook, pg from annoyingly boring posted that it was most likely a lightbox day. since i hadn’t touched my camera all day either, i concurred and a contest (of sorts) was born. the theme? foliage. boston vs. austin. not the levelest of playing fields. in fact, there isn’t a single real tree in my yard. but i do have basil. little basil sprouts have appeared all through out my garden. yep, you get basil.
so, pat, i bow to your superior geographic location (and quite a nice shot, at that). and when we do finally get those two days of “color,” i’ll be sure to get a pic up.
i bet your subject tastes better than mine.

Being a Yank, I am partial to the autumn leaves, but this looks good enough to eat! I am jealous — our basil is all but dead, and has never been vigorous enough to just sprout all by itself in the garden. Whose location is superior….?
